Tales from The Other
Side was originally dreamed up by Gary Zanow and Mark Edwards in
the Summer of 2007 as they both lamented the noticeable lack of a local
horror host in Columbus, OH.
Gary had already been creating and broadcasting his own show - Pastor Z's Very Low Budget Horror Cam - on the internet for a little over a year at this point, and was ready to take his own horror hosting to the next level. Gary and Mark are both long-time fans of the horror host genre, Gary having grown up in Milwaukee with Dr. Cadaverino (Nightmare Theater) and TooLoose NoNeck (Creature Feature) as well as Svengoolie when he later moved to Chicago and Mark having been nurtured with a healthy dose of Ghoulardi and later The Ghoul, Big Chuck n' Lil' John and Son of Ghoul. So it should come as no surprise that both of them always wanted to host their own show. Thus, was TFTOS brought from conception to labor to birth. |
